Our commodity trading activities are driven by our sense for and belief in synergies as trading for own account is linked to markets related to our agency, brokerage and distributor services. We do this only when it is complementary to the services we provide for our clients, or when it concerns niche markets that our partners choose not to operate in. Only in such cases, do we act as independent brokers and traders in the larger region of East Africa by linking demand with supply capacity, supported by our broad network. We create synergies when linking demand and supply by always involving our partners as much as possible.

Growth and mutually sustainable contribution is essential, so we are always on the lookout for further penetration of attractive niche markets. Our strategy is to grow from the current position to a leading player in the regional markets of our interest, with trading activities and related asset investments.
